Maka tunggu apalagi? Kami tunggu kedatangan Anda di Wedangan Mbah Bes, cara baru menikmati Jogja yang sesungguhnya!

Wedang (Indonesian: beverage/drinks) comes from Javanese terminology gaWE kaDANG which means making friendship with literally meaning is drinks. Wedangan is an activity of sitting, drinking and chatting like the Javanese people usually do in the evening after they finish their activities. Wedangan is part of Javanese culture to maintain friendship and brotherhood among them while exchange ideas and or just increasing insight.

On the other hand, angkringan is a unique traditional food stall in a forms of cart that commonly found in Central Java and Yogyakarta. Usually sells “nasi kucing” (local people called it cat rice, kind of wrapped rice in a tiny size even so tiny until you think it was the food portion for cat not human), many kind of bite sized food, fried food, and beverages. Angkringan also famous because it is an egalitarian places, in which people from various of social classes, religion, ethnic, and races can sit, eating, and chatting together all night long about many things without even knowing each other. They discuss almost everything, from the negligible one until the serious one. Cheap prices also made this places very popular as a heaven to repel hungry or just to unwind.

Started from one of our favorite hobby which is “hang out” in cafe that now booming in Jogja, together with the desire to preserve Javanese culture that is highly valuable, we opened an angkringan that provides a variety of rare traditional Javanese drinks in a modern concept of “street bar“. We hope that this unique combination of eastern and western cultures will become a new fresh atmosphere in the world of angkringan in Jogjakarta.

With a comfortable and humble environment, we serve a variety of traditional Javanese drinks and snacks as a complement your hang out. Located in one of the heart of activities in Jogjakarta, namely the UGM area, we present the feel of the real kampong in Jogja.
